So I finally got around to installing the newest update to iTunes and guess what it does to Susan? It resets her and now it's saying she has a fatal error and that she needs to be reformatted to factory settings. Every. Time. I reset it, it says the same thing.
The most frustrating thing? I can't find my receipt. I registered the iPod, so it should be okay. Hopefully.
We'll see when I get to the Apple store after class. I might be coming home with Susan 3.1 today. Ugh.

Omg I am tired. And emotionally drained.
Between Perdition exploding in Susan's face (understandably, even though technically she was right and the whole bracelet from Theodore Nott deal didn't have any curses or bugs on it) and playing the end of Ferdie/Jacq, I am hella emotionally drained.
I am really happy with my rp life right now, but I'm not really looking forward to going back to school and living with Sally and IDK I just don't want to do any of this RL stuff anymore. What's more, Aunt Flo came to visit yesterday and I'm breaking out and feeling even more emotional.
Ugh.

Hello! I'm writing this on behalf of a great game via ![[info]](http://www.insanejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) teakettled. It focuses on the Marauder's last year at Hogwarts, but lo--! People are still missing! The game just started so you won't be behind, and having just joined myself, I've been really pleased with how friendly the mods/players have been. On a selfish note, I'd love to see everyone's favorite character Severus Snape even if he and Lily aren't exactly the best of chums at this point.

Hello! My name is Jamie and I'm here on behalf of ![[info]](http://www.insanejournal.com/img/community.gif) euphorialane. EL is a post-warts, canon through HBP game that centers on the social lives of those that live on Euphoria Lane - an off shoot of Diagon Alley. With monthly plot prompts and lots of fun characters and friendly players, there's something for anyone to be able to do. We are looking at our two year anniverary in February. :)
Anyways, I play a whole bunch of characters there, but today I'm here on behalf of Daphne (Greengrass) Bletchley. Her journal is at daphs if you would like to read more about her, but basically she is a Slytherin princess through and through although lately she has been softening up a bit. I'm dying for some more Slytherin interaction there because while we do have some fantastic Slytherins in game, they are certainly the most lacking! It would be great to see Malcolm Baddock, Millicent Bulstrode, Marcus Flint, Gregory Goyle, Draco Malfoy, Theodore Nott, and Pansy Parkinson as well as all sorts of random last names like Bole, Derrick, Harper, Montague, Urquhart, Vaisey, and C. Warrington. Also, Daphne would love to see her sister Astoria in play.
Completely unreleated, but we have every Weasley but Percy and I know that they (as well as our Penelope Clearwater) would love to see him around. :)

Hi, I'm Hayley, a player and mod over at the Livejournal game, Euterpe's Corner, which is a light social game set in 2002 that has been going for around six months. We're a close-knit bunch but still very much welcoming of new people, and we would love some new blood.
Characters that we are looking for in particular are Oliver Wood, Susan Bones, Angelina Johnson, C. Warrington, Marcus Flint, anyone younger and older than the years around the Trio's, and Gryffindors and Slytherins in general. Pretty much anyone still free on the flat list (and canon characters not on it) are free though.

So... I've been really missing Susan since I left VP ages ago, though right now I'm not 100% sure of how I'm playing her because it's hard getting back into her skin and I'm not sure that I'm portraying everything that I intend to, particularly Susan's warmth and sweetness. I see Susan as being one of those people who is very duplicitous, and I don't know if I'm portraying it all right. On one hand, she's very good to her friends and loyal and all of that, but she has a very deep-running cynicism that I don't think she'll ever be cured of. What's more, she says a lot of sexual things but I think it's part of her duplicitous character that she doesn't mean them sincerely, as I'm finding out in this log that I'm working on now. (No, it's not smut, it just came up in her monologue.)
I know why people think Susan is slaggy, but it bothers her nevertheless because she never follows through, she's just talk. At first I thought that she was still sleeping with Anthony just 'cause but the more I get into her, the more that I think it's less about that and more about needing the emotional closeness, and she won't do it with anyone else because she doesn't trust them as much as she trusts him, and in the end I don't think that she wants anything else romantically or sexually because she cares.
Anyway Susan's head is a weird place to be right now. So ends my short tl;dr.

| Original HP characters wanted! |

We have a growing list of wanted characters to fill some roles over at  uber_alles on Inksome. It's a Harry Potter game set in Durmstrang, and all characters are original!
We have a wanted list here, but here's a quick run-down of what we're looking for:
More femme players! We have some slashy boys and a handful of femme girls and we'd like a better balance. Also since being openly gay at Durmstrang is a death sentence, some of our players are looking for cover story significant others.
Some players are looking for siblings! There's a rather eccentric professor who'd like to have his little sister in game. There's a seventh year with an unknown older brother who we'd love to have make an appearance. We could use some unconventional characters - nice Dark paths - more professors, and anything you can think of to increase diversity and generate more plots!
We're a friendly bunch and love new players. Take a look and see if anything interests you!

Hi I am Fi, I am here on the behalf of A New Initium a AU game that is cannon all the way up till after the war ended in Deathly Hallows. Set in 1998 it is now November; the wizarding world slowly starting to regroup from the war and life is back to normal. The ministry, and new headmistress, Minerva McGonagal, came up with a plan. They offered an 8th year to those who should have finished so they could get a proper year of schooling and complete everything they needed to. They would have extra liberties as they would be of age, but everyone would be in school nonetheless.
The ministry just elected the Rodolphus Lestrange, (trailed and found not guilty this time around) as the new MOM and he is starting to organize the ministry to his liking. Has he really changed? Things are not as they seem. Yes, this is a slightly different game. To find out more feel free to look here.
The players are 18+ in the game with no OOC drama, they are friendly, and very relaxed. We are looking for someone who likes to play for fun and who will actually try to play, not sit on their hands for a few days and then leave claiming the game is not for them when they didn’t even bother to try in the first place. We do welcome OC characters, but request you pick up a cannon to balance it out.

I watched bits and pieces of Rumble Fish today, and it's even better than I remembered. It also helped me fill in the gaps for Pap (or Yuri, I suppose I shoukd start calling him) since I basically had a cardboard cutout character before. Anyway, what really struck me was this exchange, between Rusty James' father and his sons:
Father: Are you ill, Rusty James?
Rusty James: No, I got cut up in a knife fight.
Father: Oh really?
Rusty James: Really.
Father: What a strange life you two lead.
Sooo yeah, inattentive parenting ftw! That miiight explain how his elder son went evil. It also brings Pap closer to his original design, back at Maimed, where Radio would be gone for days straight, having sleepovers at the CR and stuff, and when he'd come back Pap would be like "...when did you get here." "Yesterday." I think he's rather detached from the world; uninterested and dispassionate about a lot of things in life. Which would balance out his power to affect future events -- if he doesn't care, he won't mess around with it all the time. I'm hoping to make him endearingly droll to make up for it. He will, of course, coach Little League. And maybe be going deaf. Or selectively deaf. No one could tell the difference, because he's old, right?

ATTENTION ANYONE WHO WOULD LIKE A NEXTGEN GAME :3
So, dictum and amor_remanet have been helping me with an awesome nextgen game that we WANT YOUR INTEREST IN. It's not even just a social game, we have PLOT! Those Darn Purists™ are up to some good old Blood Related Shenanigans™, and everyone is being affected by it! No links or anything right now, but we have extensive pop culture info written up, as well as a week or two of plot!
It'll be GREAT and we'd really love you to come JOIN US. Sooo if you're interested poke me here or just chill until we OPEN UP FOR HOLDS in a week or so.
